Growing up in New Orleans, barbering has long been a burning passion of mine.  As a young boy of about 11 or 12 years of age, I for some reason took an interest in the art of barbering.  I would find myself studying the barbers at the local shop while I was in line awaiting my hair cut.  Motivated and inspired by the art which I had witnessed, I routinely would offer my younger brother complimentary haircuts at home.  Of course I butchered his hair for a few years, but after consistent study and practice, I became decent enough for the neighborhood kids to allow me to cut their hair.

 

     Year after year I kept learning, studying and cutting hair all the way throughout high school.  After graduating high school, I had no clue of what I wanted to do with my life...so my father suggested that I try to obtain employment at a barbershop since that was my passion.  I ended up landing a job at a local barber shop and was up for a rude awakening.  I quickly realized that the huge diffrence between being a good "porch" barber and a professional barber.  I had grown accustomed to cutting the same friend's hair week after week and soon realized that being a professional barber meant having the skill and experience to cut any type of hair and style that walked through the shop doors.  I was fortunated enough to be mentored and tutored by one of the best barbers that I have personally ever seen, and quickly grew in experience, skill and notoriety.

 

     After later attending barber school, serving in the U.S. Army for 11 years and obtaining years of world and barbering experience, I decided to leave the miliary to persue my passion and gift full time. After 22 years of barbering, I personally believe and have been told that I am hands down an ELITE barber and invite future clients to see for themselves.
